What's 10x10?

That's the number of posts that i've hit my blog till this date. My examinations have ended, my hair is straight, and once again, i'm at that time of my life again.

Holidays. well its funny how sometimes everything seems to be going to cyclical order. in fact, i've been thinking so much about it, my poetic self kicked in.

"Wash, Rinse, Repeat (till)" - mathiaus

Knowing the path that i'm moving on,
as the road stretches long,
it strikes me suddenly
that it all remains the same

I guess they call it karma,
or even yin and yang,
but whatever happens anything goes
and things stay un-touched. unmoved, unchanged.

Sometimes i do wonder,
if destiny really exists,
because if all is pre-set, pre-planned, and pre-destined,
nothing really matters does it?

the books we read, the emotions we feel, the friends we make, the conversations we have, the money we make, the risks we take, the shows we watch, the activities we enjoy, the relationships we cherish, the partners we love, or once loved.

Some things we guard jealously,
others we share freely,
but what is right? what is human? what is natural?
self-preservation or sacrifice.

they say we often question ourselves,
decisions, existence, constraints.
but i would think their foundations lay
in how they affect everyone else.

so friend, my final words,
and things i would encourage:
Put others before self.
Often, you'll learn more this way.

They say it changes when the sun goes down.

but what exactly changes though? Never bothered to check the lyrics.

The thigh-aches from night cycling finally kicked in on Friday. An entire week after that workout. That is very strange, provided i did the warm-ups and cool-downs like i usually would. Is that even normal? Maybe them thigh muscles are trying to expand.

So let's go into the update proper. I was at Marina Square for the past 2 days. And yes i have finally done something i should have done a long time ago.

I bought my running shoes. From Asics. That's another tick off my to-do list. and yes, it does feel good when you set out to accomplish what you have planned for. That's a 200 dollar hole in my savings account though. Oh and i bought crew socks from Adidas as well. I'm in love with my new shoes, i think i'll take a picture of/with them and post it up soon. Probably as part of a massive photo-post with random people during random events. soon. But i do get so lazy waiting for files to upload. Maybe i'll do it on Friendster, then link the pictures from there.

we'll see how it goes.

went for some vocal auditions today, but my heart wasn't really in it to go. i'm first and foremost a student, then a performer. i appreciate the performance offers, but no, i don't like voluntary commitment most times if i can help it. No offense though but paying to learn something i've been doing for so long would make me want to just stick with carolling and make money out of that. at least my first love is a cappella. harmonies make me truly happy!

some people asked me what i'm going to do for the holidays. well other than the 3 camps that i'm going for (arranged according to date:)
  1. Sports Council
  2. Student Union (anybody interested in this one, contact me)
  3. Tourism and Resort Management
i pretty much have nothing planned. oh i know this is totally random, but i've christened Pei Shan "OctoPig"! haha, i'm rather amused, yes.

can't think of anything else, but i can't wait for December. my new phone awaits! and i am eager with anticipation.

I have become comfortably numb.

I've a new fascination: Pink Floyd.

as well as reading wikipedia, playing solitaire, and listening to my extensive music collection. but i really shouldn't be using "as well as" because these aren't new. but hey, i'm too lazy to change what i've typed. ha, so much for breaking the fourth wall huh. for those of you who don't know what that means really, please use google or wikipedia. they are my best friends. online of course.

So a ton of things happened for the past 30 days or so. my class won the proposal for the "pseudo-nationaldayprogramme-thing", not that it really meant anything to the committee in-charge, but hey, i like winning. i have a dog now. well a puppy actually, he's really smelly, and hyperactive. kinda like most kids. i went to Malaysia to curl my hair. loving my locks more everyday. even more ever since i washed away the smell of chemical bleach. no more styling headache. but blow-dryer is required. academic drama also. group politics and dynamics. don't really wanna explain the dreadful parts but i'm happy to announce one thing.

All projects are over! I&E, LAM, PMKT. and national day trail's upcoming, but that's pretty much out of our hands now. holidays are coming, but right before that, exams. exciting times ahead.

Stagewerkz for bA_Comm is done too. Much success and all. I was trainer and judge. and i am lazy to blog about it now. just too much things to say, and no motivation to say them. maybe the next entry. and i really need to remove the "on-going events" element, i.e. the I&E event. because its no longer on-going. thank goodness really.

So. Let's give peace a chance, won't you? i know i always do.

A time to reply my tags.

Hiddly-Diddly-Do. And here goes.
